📚 Staff Spotlight Winner! 🎉 This week’s spotlight shines on our amazing librarian, Mrs. Miki Lewis! 🌟 Mrs. Lewis is known for having the biggest heart, for stepping in to help with recess, for making library time fun and engaging, and for all of her hard work and dedication over the many years she’s been here. She is truly a treasure in our school! 💛 In recognition of all she does, Mrs. Lewis will keep the coveted apple 🍏 for the week and can pick a prize from Mrs. Holyoak’s office. 📜✨ Our 2nd graders celebrated Constitution Day with their “Our Constitution and Me” projects! They did such a great job making the connection between history and themselves. 🇺🇸❤️

✨ Our students are bringing history to life! ✨ Today they’ve been illustrating different phrases from the Preamble to the Constitution. It’s amazing to see how they interpret these powerful words through their own creativity and artwork. 🇺🇸🖍️📜

🇺🇸 Our students honored Patriot Day by learning about the significance of 9/11. They showed their pride by wearing red, white, and blue—filling our halls with patriotism. ❤️🤍💙

🎉 Staff Spotlight Winner! 🌟 This week we’re celebrating Anita, our wonderful SPED Paraprofessional! 💛 Anita is known for her gift in helping students calm down when they’re flustered, for being flexible and willing to go wherever she’s needed, and for being brave enough to take on indoor recess (a true hero move!). On top of it all, she’s an all-around fun person who brings joy to our school every day. To honor her, Anita gets to proudly display the coveted apple 🍏 for the week and will also get to pick out a prize from Mrs. Holyoak’s office as a token of appreciation. Way to go, Anita—you make a difference every single day, and we’re so lucky to have you on our team! 👏✨

🌱🐛 Our kindergarteners had a blast learning about living and non-living things this week! They even got hands-on with real worms and gummy worms to explore the differences. Such a fun and wiggly way to learn! 🪱🍬

✨ Our kindergarten students had a super special guest reader today — our very own superintendent! 📚 The kids loved the storytime and we are so grateful for the visit. 💛

This week’s spotlight shines on Mrs. Ferriter! 🍎 She is our one and only 4th grade teacher and manages the biggest class in the school with grace and positivity. She’s known for being amazing with her students, quick-witted and funny, and for always finding ways to brighten our day.

Mrs. Ferriter will receive our coveted apple 🍏 for the week and can stop by Mrs. Holyoak’s office to choose a special prize!

Homecoming week is fast approaching! 🎉 On Thursday, September 25th, our whole school will be bused to the Jr. High at 9:30 a.m. to watch the Homecoming Parade put on by the high school Student Council (STUCO).

Students will be off campus for approximately an hour and a half.

If you would prefer that your student does not attend this field trip, please email Mrs. Holyoak at desirae.holyoak@showlow.education
. Students who do not attend will stay at school and participate in an alternate activity.

This family-favorite tradition is back and better than ever, and 100% of proceeds go straight to our amazing teachers! 🐴 What's Happening?
