Homecoming week is fast approaching! 🎉 On Thursday, September 25th, our whole school will be bused to the Jr. High at 9:30 a.m. to watch the Homecoming Parade put on by the high school Student Council (STUCO).

Students will be off campus for approximately an hour and a half.

If you would prefer that your student does not attend this field trip, please email Mrs. Holyoak at desirae.holyoak@showlow.education
. Students who do not attend will stay at school and participate in an alternate activity.

4 more sleeps!!! Saddle up and get ready for an afternoon of nonstop fun at one of the most exciting events of the year — the Cougar Cub Horseless Rodeo! This family-favorite tradition is back and better than ever, and 100% of proceeds go straight to our amazing teachers! 🐴 What's Happening? 🎉 Staff Spotlight Winner! 🌟 This week, we had a three-way tie for Staff Spotlight! To keep things fair, we put the names in a hat and drew a winner… and the spotlight shines on Mrs. Podoll! ✨ Mrs. Podoll is recognized for helping make our after-school pick-up line run much smoother and for being a wonderful team member who steps in to help whenever needed. Her teamwork and dedication make a big difference!

🌙✨ What’s better than learning about moon phases? Making cookie moon phases! 🍪🌑🌒🌓 Mrs. Whipple’s 5th grade class had a blast this week with a super cool (and delicious!) moon phase activity. 🚀🌌

We’d like to take a moment to give a huge thank you to Trevor Tinkle and his State Farm team for always taking such great care of our teachers and staff! 💙🍎 This week they surprised us with the most amazing gift bags, and we are so grateful for their continued support. 🌟

📢 First Staff Spotlight of the Year! 🎉 We’re kicking off a brand-new school year by celebrating Mary Reese, our amazing K–2 Interventionist! 🌟 Mary has been recognized for stepping in to help with all the LETRS testing, lending a hand to clean the staff lounge, and for jumping in wherever she’s needed. She is known for truly supporting not just our students, but also our staff—always with dedication and a can-do attitude. Mary will receive the coveted apple 🍏 and can stop by Mrs. Holyoak’s office to choose a special prize! Thank you, Mary, for starting the year off strong and setting such a positive example for us all! 👏💛

🚗 Morning Drop-off Reminder
Starting Monday, parents will no longer be walking students to class in the mornings. Please drop them off at the north dirt pick-up loop. This helps keep mornings smooth and safe for everyone.

🙋‍♀️ Want to Volunteer?
We love having parents in our classrooms! If you’d like to volunteer, please reach out to your student’s teacher for opportunities. You’ll also need to make an appointment with me to complete the volunteer forms.

Good afternoon, Linden families!

We wanted to give you a quick update about the ID tags students have been bringing home attached to their backpacks. These tags are currently being used primarily as transportation cards, but we are working toward expanding their use for library book checkouts and school lunch purchases in the near future.

If your child does not ride the bus, please do not throw the tag away—they will still need it soon!

Most students who haven't received a tag yet should get one by the end of today. If your student still hasn't received one, please email Mrs. Holyoak at desirae.holyoak@showlow.education so she can add them to the list of missing IDs.

🚌 If your student rides the bus and you haven't already, be sure to download the My Ride K-12 app for real-time bus info. If you need your child’s student ID number to add them to the app, you can also email Mrs. Holyoak at desirae.holyoak@showlow.education.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families and the hard work of our amazing PTO, we were able to meet our fundraising goal to ensure every student gets a new t-shirt! A huge shout-out to our PTO and all the volunteers who helped with prepping, selling, and cleaning up. We couldn’t have done it without you! We’re so excited and can’t wait to see everyone on Wednesday morning!

🚗 Parking Reminder:
Please do not block driveways on School House Ln. Staff and visitor parking lots will be open. Additional parking is available in the morning drop-off loop and afternoon pickup loop off Hwy 260.

🍔 Come Hungry!
Our amazing PTO will be selling food to raise funds to provide every student with a free spirit shirt this year. They accept cash and Venmo!

🛝 The back main playground will be open for students and families to enjoy. We just ask that a parent or guardian supervises children while they play.
