Additional Information

Child Nutrition

Good nutrition and academic success go together! Our Child Nutrition Department consists of a team of food and nutrition professionals who are dedicated to our students' health, well-being, and their ability to learn. We support academic success by providing healthy meal choices while promoting lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Nutritional Excellence

All of our school campuses participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The NSLP is a federally assisted meal program that provides nutritionally balanced, low cost or free meals to qualifying students. The food and beverages we sell or serve on our campuses meet the state and federal requirements, which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We are also strong advocates of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act to end childhood hunger.

New Online Meal Payments

We have partnered with LINQ Connect to offer online payments for meal purchases. Once registered, parents can make payments and see account balances online. Please visit the link below to read more about this service and to register.

Free and Reduced Lunch

Paying for lunch may prove a challenge for many. We encourage you to apply for free and reduced lunches to ease your mind. You may apply any time during the year.

Student Meal Accounts

In an effort to simplify paying for student meal accounts, the Show Low Food Services Department has created a new form. This form will allow parents with multiple students in the district to consolidate all their students’ meal accounts. Instead of your students having individual accounts, they will now share a family account. Students will still use their individual assigned student number.

The consolidation will be seamless for the students, while parents only have to track one dollar amount for all their students. I encourage all parents with multiple students in the district to complete the form once we email it to you. You can combine all students that reside in the same household regardless of which school site they attend. If you have any questions about this process, the form, or meal payments in general, please feel free to contact the food services office at (928) 537-6014 ext. 1 or 2.
